The Importance of a Safe Wash
In the United Kingdom, vehicles are subjected to a varied mix of motorway spray, city pollution, and rural mud. Rushing a car wash often leads to dirt being dragged across the paint, causing fine scratches known as swirl marks. Our exterior wash process prioritises safety over speed.
1. Wheels First
Wheels often hold the heaviest contamination, including corrosive brake dust. We address alloys and tyres first, using dedicated buckets and brushes to ensure this harsh grime is not transferred to the vehicle's painted panels.
2. The Pre-Wash Stage
Before any wash mitt touches the car, a pre-wash chemical or snow foam is applied. This dwells on the surface, softening baked-on dirt, bug splatter, and winter salt, allowing much of the grime to be rinsed away touch-free.
3. Contact Wash
Using the two-bucket method (one for shampoo, one for rinsing the mitt), we carefully clean the vehicle from top to bottom. This helps trap dirt in the rinse bucket rather than rubbing it back onto your paintwork.
4. Safe Drying
Drying is a common stage where damage occurs. We use plush, highly absorbent microfiber drying towels and, where appropriate, forced air to blow water out of panel gaps, mirrors, and grilles, reducing water spots.
